WAW Wednesdays: Prayer Requests

"The Word at Work is a ministry that mobilizes churches and individuals to answer God's call to minister to those in need," writes Rev. Tim Tam, Director of the Amarillo, Texas-based ministry. "Through our relationships, God reveals needs and opportunities for service. As we come along side the poor, new friendships develop and doors for ministry open. As we serve, God provides the resources to supply for the needs he reveals."

Prayer Requests

Hello Friends!

Tim Hagen and his band of Ministry Associates have been emptying our warehouse in Amarillo - we have two containers arriving shortly in Belize! Partners in the Victoria, Texas area have been busily gathering furnishings and supplies for King's Children's Home, Marla's House of Hope, and Child Development Foundation; they are just about ready to ship a container from their location, however our shipping funds are depleted ... we are hopeful you might be moved to make a donation toward the $5K USD needed to ship these needed supplies!! In addition to furnishings for these children's homes, we hope to fill every nook and cranny with medical and surgical supplies. If you want to help make this container go, please fill out this Commitment Card and return it to our office!

We continue to pray for a consistent shipping sponsor; perhaps your church's mission team would be interested in leveraging their tithe for this worthy investment ... let's discuss the possibilities!

We are praying hard for long-term missionary couple Rachel & Cole Calloway. Shortly after arriving at King's Children's Home for their long-term mission call, the Calloway's found out they are expecting a child! We celebrate this new life with them! Sadly, soon after receiving this news, Rachel's mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Thankfully, the Calloway's were able to return to the states in time to spend time with Kim before her passing. Please keep the entire Mariano family in your prayers as they deal with this great loss and the Calloway's as they make the transition back to the USA.

One more prayer request: For our fearless leader, Tim Tam!

Tim underwent a surgical procedure today on his back. The surgeon is pleased with how things went, but this does mean Tim will be recuperating for a while! Please pray for protection from infection and that the procedure will have the desired effect ... and for the rest of us at TW@W as we prepare for teams and a busy summer ahead!

Thanks for your time,

Molly Fields
