AUDITIONS for Midland College production of "Jesus Christ Superstar"

This spring, the Midland College Departments of Music and Drama have partnered with the Midland Community Theatre to produce the critically acclaimed rock opera JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.

To stage the music portion of this rock opera, we are seeking several talented community singers and instrumentalists to fill out our already talented JCS music ensemble. To participate, a stress-free audition is required. Here’s what you need to know:

AUDITIONS:
WHEN: Wednesday, March 6, 2013
Thursday, March 7, 2013
Friday, March 8, 2013


WHERE: Room 138, Allison Fine Arts Building
Midland College
3600 N. Garfield


TIME: TBD; Auditions will be scheduled on an individual basis.

SEEKING: Choir ensemble members: All voice types

Orchestra pit members: Electric Guitar, Trombone, Trumpet, Flute, and Clarinet

All interested musicians should have at least high school music reading experience in a band or choir.

Successful audition applicants will be required to enroll in MUSI 1159 (Musical Theatre I) at Midland College.

Afternoon ensemble rehearsals at Midland College will be required.

A generous stipend will be provided to all music ensemble members who participate.

REQUIRED PERFORMANCE DATES for Jesus Christ Superstar:
April 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 (with possible add-on performances: May 3 and 4).
