From @mmm_water ... 2019 Well Season: Daily Devotional

September 14 - October 28 is Marion Medical Mission Well Season for 2019. The season will include daily devotionals - one for each day the U.S. volunteers are overseas, sharing the love of Jesus by providing safe, clean, sustainable sources of drinking water to the extreme poor in sub-Saharan Africa. Marion Medical Mission is one of our mission partners at Grace Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas, and we STRONGLY encourage you to read these devotions to learn more about - and pray for! - their mission.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
Meg Packard
Volunteer and MMM Board Member, Alabama

“And Jesus looking upon them said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26

It would be impossible for our two small American volunteer teams, four coordinators, 23 field officers, 94 installation supervisors and 1000+ builders to install 3,000 wells over 57,000 square miles in Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia this year. But what is impossible for men and women to accomplish on their own is made possible with God! It is God that touches the hearts of thousands of donors, volunteers, and trained professionals every year and leads them to partner with Marion Medical Mission to provide clean, safe drinking water to those most in need.

The tasks and challenges that face us every morning when we set out in our trucks present a seemingly impossible situation. A long day, uncomfortable travel, heat, and hard work lie before us. And while mustering a positive attitude is critical to our individual and collective success in the field, we have no chance at all if we think we can pull it off ourselves ... we have every chance in the world if we trust God to do it. Mind you, trusting God “to do it,” does not mean we can just sit back, eat mangoes, and bask in the sun with our toes dipped in the lake. As our founder Tom is fond of reminding us, we must pray, pray, pray, and then get up off our knees and get to work!!

Whatever struggles we are facing at the moment, however difficult the day looks, however impossible the situation seems, it is important to always remember God’s love for each of us and trust that “with God all things are possible.” With the grace of God, we are called together to give our own unique gifts and to keep our hearts focused and true to the task that is before us -- all to the glory of God!

Application Question: Will you keep your heart and mind open today to receive God’s call in small, unexpected places to be the person He wants you to be?

Prayer: Give me wisdom, peace and power to live the kind of life You want me to lead and be the person You want me to be. Amen.
