MIDLAND, TEXAS - They call themselves the “mall ministry.”
Every Sunday afternoon, a small group of volunteers from The Bridge Midland, a local church, heads to Midland Park Mall to buy meals for strangers. With anywhere from $200 to $400 in their pockets, they pay for the food of shoppers, mall employees and visitors.
“Our reason for doing this is not to grow our congregation,” parishioner Ginny McLelland said. “Our reason is to do what the Lord says and love your neighbor as yourself.”
