ODESSA, TEXAS - King Week, a celebration of the life of Martin Luther King Jr., kicks off at 3 p.m. Sunday with the Gospel Celebration at Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, 1615 E. Murphy St.
Special guests include the Male Chorus, of DeSoto; the Men of Valor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Midland; and the Male Chorus from St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Odessa.
Admission is free.
On Monday, MLK Day events continue with a King Breakfast at 6 a.m. at the ORMC Community Room at 515 Adams St.; King’s Rally at 11 a.m. Sal Guerrero Southside Senior Citizen Center at 900 S. Dixie Blvd.; and the Freedom March at 11:45 a.m. at the senior center parking lot in front of Woodson Community Center, 1000 E. Murphy St.
