MIDLAND, TEXAS - Campers like Edward Fannings, three weeks fresh from Florida, have been making do in several tents since Saturday.
The City of Midland has been receiving complaints from residents in a south side neighborhood. They say people have been camping out in tents, urinating in public and becoming a disturbance.
"Drinking, drugging and prostitution, that's why we gotta move! Tell it like it is," one of the homeless men professed during the middle of another interview NewsWest 9 was conducting with the campers.
Although others there, like former Vet and ex-con Rick Davis, confirmed the man's claims, they said those responsible were kicked out of the camp. So now the homeless remaining in the area feel like they're being punished.
