FPC-Midland Belize Mission: A Prayer for NO (?) Rain

From January 4 through January 11, 2014, a team  from 1st Presbyterian Church-Midland will be traveling to the Central American country of Belize, and working with The Word at Work ministry. This will be an opportunity to reach out and share the gospel with the people of Belize while working side-by-side with the local community and The Word at Work staff on a much-needed construction project.

A Prayer for NO (?) Rain

A strange prayer request, coming from a bunch of West Texans ... but could you ask for a brief respite from the rain, at least in our part of the world, at least for tomorrow?

The construction work today continues rain-or-shine. But other activities scheduled for tomorrow would go a lot better with clear skies and drier ground.

At El Progresso Government School, we'll be launching the 'Earth Ball,' which would go a lot better with clearer, drier conditions.

We'll also be having a movie night hosted by La Iglesia Casa de Alabanza "y el grupo de amigos de Midland, Texas." The event is sett o take place on the concrete floor of the church-under-construction, with the film projected on one of the walls ... another activity that would NOT be helped by rainfall.

GOT QUESTIONS?

Is there something you'd like to ask any of our mission team members, or our pastor?
