From January 4-11, 2014, a team from 1st Presbyterian Church-Midland will be traveling to the Central American country of Belize, and working with The Word at Work ministry.
This will be an opportunity to reach out and share the gospel with the
people of Belize while working side-by-side with the local community and
The Word at Work staff on a much-needed construction project.

Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport, Belize: The flight that will take us back to the U.S. |
That short-but-busy final day in Belize that I mentioned in a previous post, has drawn to an end as we check-in our bags at the airport outside Belize City ... and where our team for this past week begins to break up. After saying 'goodbye' to us The Word At Work staffers Tim Tam and Kenny Logan will greet another mission team arriving from the United States, aboard the same jet that will refuel, replenish and head back to the U.S. with our team aboard.
It is also here that we bid a brief farewell to the Thompson family - Mayra,
Zureyma and
Walter - who will be taking a separate flight out of Belize, later that day, and arriving in Midland tomorrow.

One last look at Belize as we head north |
The American Airlines flight that takes us to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, is on-time and problem-free. In a previous post, I offered a shout-out to team co-leader Karen Winkler for her work on the the 'logistics' of this trip, and I offer that shout-out once again. On our arrival at DFW, we say goodbye to Casey and Will Smith, who will spend some time in the area before returning to Midland.

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport: Greeted by a West Texas kind of sunset |
And at last, we're home! It's been a good trip and a great mission. I'm hoping to encourage other members of the team to send me their thoughts on the past week, which I will then share with you on the blog. We also plan to make a 'report' at First-Prez Midland in the near future. As soon as I have the details on that, I will share those with you.

GOT QUESTIONS?
Is there something you'd like to ask any of our mission team members, or our pastor?
