In the News ... "After 13 years, Three Bridges still has its gospel story to tell"

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Elliot McCoy is used to the question about his gospel trio’s name. Since their debut 13 years ago, it’s the one question he’s always asked. But it’s also a joke easily walked into.

“I’m Lloyd, he’s Jeff and that’s Beau — the Three Bridges,” McCoy joked.

Initially, he was just drawn to the word, but then he liked the notion of it.

“Well, obviously we are a trio, but then I like to think that we’ve bridged our life to Christ and also we’re a bridge to Christ for others,” he said.

Touring in support of their October release “Jesus Saves,” the trio — which also features lead singer Shannon Smith and tenor Jeremie Hudson (McCoy sings baritone) — will perform a concert Sunday at Calvary Assembly of God ...
