• Baptist church pulls together to start anew

ODESSA, TEXAS - The folks who call Central Baptist Church their place of worship each Sunday are a small group: Sixty or so; mostly retired; the older generation.

The church on Texas Street, led by Pastor Vaughny Taylor, was moved by his vision five years ago to pay off the church’s debt on its education building.

The loan amounted to the tune of $212,000. It was a monkey on Central Baptist’s back
